Shah Rukh Khan Summoned By Jaipur Court

We earlier reported that a case has been registered against Shah Rukh Khan, in Jaipur, for smoking publicly at Sawai Man Singh stadium, during an IPL match. And the latest development on the case is, that SRK has been summoned by the additional chief judicial magistrate's court in Jaipur.

Khan, the co-owner of IPL team 'Kolkata Knight Riders' (KKR), was spotted smoking during a match between Rajasthan Royal and KKR. The complaint was filed by director of Jaipur Cricket Academy, Anand Singh Rathore. Khan was summoned by the court on thursday.
 
“Smoking publicly is banned in Rajasthan since 2000, Shah Rukh Khan was smoking publicly in front of thousands of spectators. The actor was broadcast live while smoking on the TV channel which was showing the match," lawyer Nem Singh Rathore was quoted saying on behalf of Anand Singh Rathore.

If found guilty, Khan will be fined with a meager sum of Rs. 500.
