Salman Khan promotes 'Ishaqzaade' newcomer Arjun Kapoor

All the rumours that Salman Khan won’t promote Boney Kapoor’s sonArjun Kapoor can now take a beating. The superstar has lent his support to the young newbie by tweeting about him.

With more than 2 million followers on Twitter, Salman Khan’s word on the micro-blogging site in support of any newcomer goes a long way in creating the right buzz. Recently, there were reports that Boney Kapoor, Salman’s good friend, requested the star to promote his son Arjun Kapoor -- set to make his debut in Ishaqzaade -- on Twitter but Sallu refused. However, Salman has scotched the rumour by tweeting about the young lad.

“Yup ! Arjun ranawat in my janam bhumi INDORE. Aur bolo,” Salman wrote as if mocking at the rumourmongers.

He further clarified that he calls Arjun Kapoor by the nickname of Arjun Ranawat.

“Yup ! I call arjun kapoor arjun ranawat,” the superstar tweeted.

Meanwhile, Salman Khan is ruing the lack of night life in Bandra because all the commercial establishments have to close by midnight.

“Nothing much . went for dinner at 12 and most of the places in bandra were shut and nite clubs shut at 1230 , boring bandra ,its bloody sad.” Salman wrote.

He added: “Bandra used to be so much fun , (now) we are done with work by 10, reach home at 11, work out, and after that if we wanna chill etc every thing is shut .”

Guess what adult star Sunny Leone's real name is?

Guess what adult star Sunny Leone's real name is? Karenjit Kaur Vohra, that's what.

A Filipino actor-filmmaker in whose project Sunny features has sent us a copy of her passport.

She is 30 and was born in Canada. Initially she was known as Karen (the shorter version of Karenjit) after which she called herself Sunny.

Wonder from where Leone cropped up? In Punjabi Kaur means lioness, so Leone is the anglicised version.

We guess that with a name like Karenjit Kaur Vohra, she wouldn’t have gone too far in the porn industry.

Salman Khan ropes in Sajid-Wajid for three films

n 2012, other than DABANGG 2 there isn't any other Salman film for which Sajid-Wajid are composing music. Even last year's releases - READY and BODYGUARD - had Pritam and Himesh Reshammiya respectively as composers whereas Sohail Sen was roped in for EK THA TIGER. In such a scenario, one wonders if Sajid-Wajid have indeed managed to take out time for Salman Khan

"We did five films in a row with 'bhai' and would now be doing three more in a row again. After DABANGG 2, we are also doing KICK and SHER KHAN with him. Yeh baat pakki hai ki jo bhi kaam karenge, achcha karenge. Music created by us would be memorable for sure, whether it is for Salman bhai films or others," says Wajid.

Ajay Devgn, Sonakshi Sinha, Sanjay Dutt's look in SON OF SARDAR

As the name suggests, Ajay plays the character of a Sardar with Sonakshi Sinha as his love interest. Ajay earlier also had played a Sardar in the film THE LEGEND OF BHAGAT SINGH.

Meanwhile, let's take a look at the characters of SON OF SARDAR.

SRK wants privileges like Aamir Khan

Who is raving about Emraan Hashmi and he hasn't even kissed him yet

Here's a co-star who is raving about Emraan Hashmi and he hasn't even kissed him yet! Randeep Hooda is full of praises when asked about Emraan with whom he shared a great chemistry on the sets of their forthcoming film.

He says, “Emraan is a great co-star to work with. He is a thorough professional yet chilled out on the sets.”

When questioned what is the one thing that would draw audiences to the theatre, he replies, “Emraan and my chemistry but without kissing or any Dostana angle as the story revolves around us.”
A birdie visiting Yash Raj Studios on Wednesday spotted Salman Khan chilling out with Arjun Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, Alvira Agnihotri and some of his pals.

They all appeared to be in high spirits laughing and chatting away.

Sallu sure knows how to combine work with pleasure.

Katrina loves a good massage

Katrina Kaif loves to pamper herself once in a while

She tells CS, “Though I am not a spa person per se, I do like the idea of rejuvenating myself occasionally. My favourite is a foot massage because I am on my feet so often.

I am not big time into aromatherapy but I like some candles around. There aren’t many good spas in Bandra, but London is full of them. Whenever I am in London, I make sure that I make a trip to the spa.”

Well Kat, with the kind of hard work you’re in putting in your Bollywood career, a long session at the spa is much needed.

Shahid recommends Bips for Knight and Day remake

After a year since news of a desi version of the Tom Crusie starrerKnight and Day made the rounds, it looks likely that the film will go on floor soon. Leading man Shahid Kapur has apparently not only ensured that the film takes off, but is also said to be recommending Bipasha Basu's name to play female lead.

Speaking on the film to be directed by Siddharth Raj Anand, our source says, "Although Shahid and Bipasha have worked together some years ago -- in Mathew Matthan's Shikhar -- they not only became good friends early last year, but were also said to be dating.

While they're believed to have broken up after the release of Mausam, it seems they remained friends. Shahid strongly recommended her name to Siddharth."

Speaking about Shahid's role in reviving the film, our source points out, "It has been reported that the Indian division of the Hollywood studio had signed on Siddharth to remake the original toplining Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz.

However, the film had been put on hold as Siddharth was supposed to make another film with Shahid for Ramesh Taurani," adding that Sasha now has plenty of dates available as he is currently only committed to Maneesh Sharma's next.

The source adds that the actor and the director have been catching up with each other a lot lately, in and around Versova. Siddharth denied the story saying he's still scripting the film.

"Only after I finish writing can we figure out the casting," he stated. As for being spotted often with Shahid and recently also with Bipasha, he maintained, "We're friends and would like to work together if there's a suitable subject. Otherwise, just hanging around doesn't mean we are doing a film together."

Ameer Khan Falls down from Wedding Video Clip

'Chulbul Pandey' is Ranbir's favourite superhero!

When asked about what he thinks of superhero films in an upcoming new television show, Ranbir Kapoor replies, "I am not a big fan of superhero films and neither have the burning desire of being a superhero."

He adds, “I believe that to make a good superhero film you need to have a good story rather than spend crores to make it.”

And surprisingly he did not name the likes of Hrithik Roshan (Krrish) and Shah Rukh Khan (RA.One) as his superheroes.

Instead he says “I think our Bollywood action heroes are superheroes in their own right. I love films of Ajay, Salman and Sanjay Dutt, I loved Aamir in Ghajini.”

So which superhero is his favourite? Pat comes his reply, “My favourite superhero character is Chulbul Pandey from Dabangg.”

Hmmm.... hope SRK and Hrithik are reading this.

Aamir falls off stage at wedding of auto driver's son

Aamir Khan fell down when a dais -- set up for the wedding of the son of his friend, auto-rickshaw driver Ram Lakhan -- collapsed due to overcrowding.
The 47-year-old star was unhurt and laughed off the incident, saying the overall arrangement was good.
Aamir was in Varanasi to attend the wedding to keep his promise to Lakhan whom he met while promoting his 2009 hit 3 Idiots.
Dressed in blue denims and white kurta, the 47-year-old actor reached the wedding venue at Mehmurganj's Chaurasiya marriage hall post midnight.
Aamir was supposed to reach there by 9.30pm but he got delayed as he had to travel by road from Patna, said Lakhan.
The actor hugged his friend and felicitated the newlyweds Rajiv and Vijayta before posing for the media. It was a utter chaos at the wedding as the crowd and media had gathered to get a glimpse of the actor.
Aamir, who is all set to make his television debut with Satyamev Jayate, denied that his decision to attend the wedding had anything to do with the promotion of his show.
"This is the wedding of my friend Ramlakhan Paswan's son. I have not come here to promote any upcoming serial or movie. I am here to attend the ceremony. I met Ram lakhan during the promotion of 3 Idiots. He came to my house to invite me for the wedding one year ago. I wish the bride and groom the very best. Especially the bride, who may find happiness," he said.
Aamir, who stayed at the venue for nearly half an hour, said Varanasi has got a special place in his heart as his mother was born here.
"Varanasi is my mother's birthplace. The place is dear to me and I share a special relationship with it," the actor said.

Mobile Company Signs Sunny Leone As Their Brand Ambassador

After shooting for a condom brand recently, Sunny Leone will now be seen selling mobile phones. A cellular company has signed Sunny as their brand ambassador.

As part of her deal, Leone shot for a television commercial for the brand in Bangkok. "I am very excited to be associated with such a young and vibrant brand like Chaze. I chose to associate with 'Brand Chaze' because I am really impressed by Chaze's ideology of bringing out mobile technology for the masses and personally feel connected with their vision," the penthouse pet was quoted saying.

Salman Khan likes Parineeti Chopra in ‘Ishaqzaade’

Salman Khan is Arjun Kapoor’s mentor, but the superstar praises Parineeti Chopra more than Arjun after seeing the trailers of Ishaqzaade. While talking to a channel, the new kid on the block reveals that Salman Khan finds the trailers of Ishaqzaade “good”.

Arjun Kapoor idolizes Salman Khan, the actor whom Arjun looks up to, aspires to be and seeks inspiration from. When Arjun showed the trailers ofIshaqzaade to Salman Khan, the actor liked it and said “good”. Arjun says that it means a lot to him. If Salman Khan isn’t criticizing or being negative about something that means he has liked it. The ‘Ishaqzaade’ boy also reveals that if Salman is close to somebody then he minces no words.

When Arjun Kapoor was a chubby fella not aspiring to be an actor, Salman Khan could see a star in him and pushed him to hit the gym, shed the extra kilos and be toned. Though he gave Arjun reasons to be an actor, after seeing the trailers of Arjun’s debut Ishaqzaade, he liked Parineeti more.

Salman is mighty impressed with Parineeti Chopra. Arjun admits that his mentor Salman praised Parineeti more than him. In the last few days there were reports that Salman Khan will not promote Ishaqzaade, but that has not stopped Arjun from not going gaga over Salman.

Arjun wishes to prove himself and make Salman proud with his work. Arjun will soon show Salman his film Ishaqzaade. Let’s see whom the star chooses to praises after watching it -- Parineeti Chopra or Arjun Kapoor.

John Abraham confirms marriage with girlfriend Priya this year

John Abraham has finally confirmed that he will marry his girlfriend Priya Runchal this year. Interestingly, he says the wedding could take place within months, or weeks, or even days. Expect a surprise!

Life begins at 40. The pithy proverb holds true for the 39-year-old John Abraham who’s on the cusp of starting a new innings in his life: as a husband. Lately there have been rumours about the actor planning to get married, with some gossipmongers even going on to claim that he got secretly married to Priya in Los Angeles a few months back, but John is now at last ready to lead his ladylove to the altar.

“Priya and I have decided to get married this year,” John Abraham confirms in an interview with TOI.

The actor says since he’s an impulsive soul -- but then, who isn’t when it comes to marrying pretty ladies -- he might even get married to Priya next week.

“I know it (marriage) will be this year, but I don't know when. It could be in a few months or a few weeks. I am a very impulsive guy. So I might decide to get married next week!” John added.

The actor also revealed that it would be a registered wedding and there won’t be any religious ceremony.

The news of John’s marriage will be met with jubilation from some fans and heartache from others, particularly his smitten female fans, one or two of who even requested him lately to donate his sperm to them, courtesy Vicky Donor. Sorry ladies, the hunk is taken!

Box Office Update: Vicky Donor earns Rs.13.40 crore, Shoojit Sircar ecstatic

Starring newcomers Ayushmann Khurrana and Yami Gautam Vicky Donorearned Rs13.40 crore at the box office in its first wekend; a very strong showing for John Abraham's maiden production venture.

Vicky Donor is going places. After receiving rave reviews from the critics as well as the audiences, it has earned Rs.13.40 crore in the opening weekend. Director Shoojit Sircar is on cloud nine and says the film's success proves that the moviegoers have matured over the years.

"Vicky Donor" is a light-hearted take on the taboo attached to infertility, sperm donation and artificial insemination.

"I am happy with the kind of response 'Vicky Donor' has got. While writing the script, me and my writers thought we will get a positive response from young boys and girls, but with the film becoming so popular among the masses, it feels great," Sircar told IANS.

"I never thought my film will get a U/A certificate from censors. It came as a shock for me. The success of the film is the biggest example of audience getting mature. I personally feel that the audiences are very clever and they know what they want to see," he added.

Co-produced by Eros International and JA Entertainment, the film was released Friday over 600 screens worldwide. The film, which was made with two newcomers - Ayushmann Khurrana and Yami Gautam - along with seasoned actor Annu Kapoor, has grossed over Rs.11.40 crore in India and Rs.2 crore overseas.

"We are very happy with the audience as well as critics' reactions to 'Vicky Donor'. Sunday's collections showed a 91 percent jump over Friday figures," Nandu Ahuja, senior vice president, distribution, India, Eros International Media Ltd said in a statement.

"The film created a positive buzz right from the launch of its trailer and has delivered on audience expectations. With its unusual subject, characters and dialogues, we are hoping for repeat viewings and a promising run at the box office," he added.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh says "Vicky Donor" success proves that content is king.

"The success of "Vicky Donor" is the triumph of its story. The script of the film is the real hero. Every character, be it Ayushmann or Kamlesh Gill or Yami, has fitted so beautifully in the film. I give full marks to the script. With a taboo topic, new actors, a small budget, the kind of business the film has done is commendable," Adarsh told IANS.

"Films starring newcomers or lesser known actors don't find a theatrical outlet in the international arena. The success of 'Vicky Donor' should also encourage distributors to go beyond the boundaries of India and explore newer horizons," he added.

Veteran scriptwriter Salim Khan loved Shoojit Sircar's newly released filmVicky Donor so much that he called the young director to his residence and presented him with an award.

Salim Khan, who has written scripts for many blockbuster movies including Sholay and Don, watched Vicky Donor and called the director to award him with one of his own Filmfare trophies.

"I couldn't believe it was Salim Khan when I received the call. He said, 'I saw your film with 10 women in my house and we all loved it. I don't know how you made this film. I even spoke to your scriptwriter. Both of you have done a commendable job so I want to give you an award from my side'," Shoojit Sircar said.

The director then went to Salim's house and the 76-year-old presented him a Filmfare trophy.

"He said that if this script was offered to him he would have turned it down because he couldn't have handled such a subject. Ash comeback with Sarkar 3

This news might just be what the fans of Aishwarya Rai have been longing to read from months! The hazel-eyed actress may well make a comeback with Ram Gopal Varma’sSarkar 3!

Sarkar 3 will also feature Amitabh Bachchan, of course. If the buzz is to be believed, the movie will go on the floors this October as the script of the film is almost ready! And sadly, as we all remember, in Sarkar Raj, the character played byAbhishek Bachchan dies! Thus, the chances of him featuring in the movie are zero (unless there is some reincarnation; which we seriously hope is not the case)!

Earlier, it was said that Aishwarya Rai will make her comeback with either John Abraham in Happy Birthday orShahrukh Khan in Bajirao Mastani

Anyhow, about Sarkar 3, rumours are rife that Ram Gopal Varma is now looking for someone to cast for the role of Amitabh Bachchan’s grandchild;Ranbir Kapoor is apparently his first choice! This means if the entire buzz holds true, we might get to see Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai and Ranbir Kapoor share screen space!

We’ll keep you updated! Watch this space for more!

Salman Khan riding high on endorsements

Nothing succeeds like success. Pardon the cliché, but it is apt for Salman Khan who, once shunned by brands, is now being wooed for product endorsements.

It took three blockbusters on the trot, and a lot of charity, for Salman to rise to the wishlist of the brands. The actor was once shunned because of his bratty, spoilt-star image thanks to the black buck controversy and the road rage incident, not to mention some of the spats and scuffles he’s been involved in. But over the years, the ‘enfant terrible’ image has transformed into that of a reliable, eyeball-grabbing celebrity with the prospect of attracting greater business for the brand he endorses.

The latest one to woo Salman Khan is Suzuki Motorcycle India. The actor is the company’s first brand ambassador for India. We learn that Salman will be the face of Suzuki’s above-the-line and below-the-line initiatives. The star will firstly feature in the campaign for Suzuki’s recently launched motorcycle Hayate.

This is yet another addition to Salman Khan’s swelling kitty of brand endorsements. He’s endorsed a soft drink, a detergent, and an inner wear brand. He recently became the brand ambassador for History channel. His commercials for Yatra.com are already on the airwaves and the ads for Suzuki will also be out soon.

With so many endorsements, Salman Khan is making it to the league ofShahrukh Khan and Aamir Khan who have always been the favourites of the brands.

Salman catches up with Katrina

Salman Khan was spotted busy chatting with Katrina Kaif at a recent event.

Since their coterie was also around, one couldn’t get closer to eavesdrop on their conversation.

But we do wonder if Sallu asked Katrina about her working with his jaani dushman SRK in a forthcoming movie.

To outdo his dance with 'Seeti baja ke'

Superstar Salman Khan, known for his distinct dance steps, says his moves in "Dabangg 2" song "Seeti baja ke" will outdo the choreography of all his previous hit numbers.

"I'll dance so much in this song that I'll tell everyone what dancing is. 'Jalwa' ('Wanted') is nothing, just see how good I'll dance in this song, " the 46-year-old said here.

In recent times, Salman has shown his 'jalwa' in songs like "Dhinka chika", "Munni badnaam", "Humka peeni hai" and "Character dheela".

While he has asked fans to watch out for his new number, Salman is all praise for his brother Arbaaz Khan, who turns director with "Dabangg 2".

"He is doing a very good job, we are really happy that Arbaaz is directing 'Dabangg 2'. He is doing a superb job and when you see the film, he'll become a very big director, " said Salman, who reprises his role of police inspector Chulbul Pandey in the sequel of "Dabangg".

"Dabangg 2", which will see Salman being paired with Sonakshi Sinha once again, is slated for release Dec 21.
